BLISSFIELDS FESTIVAL

July 15, 2015

So after travelling down to Winchester on a scorching hot July day we were very happy to land into the bohemian world that is known by the alias ‘BLISSFIELDS.’ and what a place to land surrounded in the most tranquil of settings down in the winchester countryside.
This was our first trade UK festival so we were unsure about what exactly to expect but I can tell you hands down that we were not at any point let down, after setting the scene for our HIPSTER SUNNIES. stall (Which i must say needed plenty of help from the more experienced trade heads) and in our now commonplace front room style set up we were ready to set about getting to meet the other traders, again we found ourselves very lucky to be surrounded by such a talented and very open bunch of people who just wanted to see the festival go off with a bang and were more than helpful in sharing the wealth.
THURSDAY KICKED US OFF..

With Thursday being the additional purchase ticket the day started slowly and the first sign of a shower has us all wondering where the predicted heatwave had gone, this said it couldn’t dampen the spirits and within an hour or two the crowds came and along with them came the gloriously hot sunshine!!!  There was an awesome chilled vibe around the place with the 'EARLY BIRD’ tickets holders coming in for a sneak preview before the rush.
You could just tell it was setting the scene for why was about too come!
Down at the BUS the young team chilling to Oldskool HipHop and later on in the evening this place was bouncing as they gathered steam in more ways than one getting there two step on really kicking off the party…. YOUNG TEAM WE LOVE YOU….
This was just one of the many highlights at this event across the weekend, Blissfields really manages to bring music of all genres to people of all ages and the party people really came together like age is nothing but a number and the music and good vibes are everything.

MUSIC

The music had a great variety from the HORRORS.SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO.GRAND MASTER FLASH. right across to a band from Leeds called the DUB PISTOLS. who a week before were smashing up stages at GLASTO.before heading down please us all again playing on the Friday night at the 'Sungularity' stage who by the way absolutely smashed it and for many were the highlight of the weekend, smashing out a mix of heavy dub/mod/punk revolution in what can only be described as seriously get you in the bouncy mood music AWESOME.. (MY WORDS ONLY)…
As the nights drew in at this event the arena took an a whole other vibe. Once the daytime chilling bohemia vibes were over the nights brought a completely different beast and it truly came alive, from the young team bouncing hard down at the BUS which every night never failed to be rowdy (GOOD ROWDY). The HIDDEN HEDGE where the DOME was killing the DnB, an awesomely visual venue where the party for us went off nightly and just further down the HOUSE VENUE bashing out an assortment of sexy house to get the body shacking and too loosen up the legs SUPERB.
All in all I can say that for us BLISSFIELDS was a pleasure, from trading and meeting so many cool traders, artists and festi goers to just really enjoying the music and the scorching hot sunshine in a suberbly VISUAL arena that was laid out and thought through to perfection. The fact this festival has won BEST SMALL FESTIVAL does not surprise us at all now we’ve been as it had everything you want for a great time in the sunshine socialising and getting your vibes on.
As for will will be there next year too right we will, dont forget the Early bird catches the Worm... so make sure to get yours through this link.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR BOHEMIAN PARTY PEOPLE..
MUCH LOVE

HIPSTER SUNNIES TEAM...
